Kathy invites Deacon Nick Donnelly, Catholic news website, to examine what the bishops have been saying in Britain and Ireland. These include Bishop Philip Egan of Portsmouth and Bishop Kieran Conry of Arundel and Brighton, speaking on the issue of Humanae Vitae and contraception. Dublin's Catholic hospital, Mater Miseri Cordiae (Mother of Mercies), has announced that it will comply with the Irish government's abortion bill on 'compassionate' grounds.
