Young Catholics: the future - and the present - of the Church

"The Irish Church in turmoil". "Rampant secularisation reigns in the UK".
But what about our young people? How are young Catholics doing in today's Church and in today's rapidly changing society? Youth 2000 retreats are growing both in Walsingham England, and in Clonmacnoise Ireland - two places of great historical importance in Christendom. Today these are once again becoming centres of conversion, of healing and of mission for many young Catholics. Celtic Connections goes on location to the annual Youth 2000 festival at Clonmacnoise. Kathy talks to key Catholic youth leaders in Ireland and Great Britain: Sean Ascough, key leader in Youth 2000 Ireland; Fr. John Harris OP, Spiritual Director Youth 2000 Ireland; Fr. Emmanuel Mansford CFR London, Keynote Speaker Wasingham Youth Festival; Fiona Mansford, Youth 2000 National Co-ordinator UK.
